Two days filled with lots of ‘how-to’ many processes and steps in basic jewellery making. We cover the use of a range of silversmithing tools, techniques like sawing, filing, polishing, soldering and stamping.

This course is for beginners who would like to try out silversmithing. After this course, you will know how to produce your own basic pieces of bespoke jewellery either for yourself or as gifts to others.

On day one we cover the processes and tools and on day two we make a piece of jewellery using the techniques we have learnt. It could be a bangle, a ring, earrings, pendant or even cufflinks.

What’s included in the price?

I include refreshments in the morning and afternoon on each day, a fresh and homemade lunch each day, all materials needed to complete the course and produce your own piece of jewellery.

I also offer a Certificate of Attendance with the hours or work completed by each person. This is for your own enjoyment but may also be useful if you intend to apply to a higher education facility to study jewellery design or silversmithing.
